I am the PI of the 'monocyte lab' Development and Functions of Mononuclear Phagocytes, and the Head of the Center for Molecular and Cellular Biology of Inflammation (CMCBI), in the Division of Immunology Infection and Inflammatory Diseases (DIIID) at King's College London.

I was a laureate of the Avenir Program (INSERM, France), and of the 'Fondation Schlumberger pour l'Education et la Recherche' (FSER), in 2004. In 2006 I was a laureate of the European EURYI Award .

I am a regular reviewer for several leading scientific journals, including: Science, Cell, The Journal of Experimental Medicine, Immunity, Nature Immunology.
I am a member of the Funding comittee for Immunology and Infectious Diseases of the Wellcome Trust (UK) (2007 – present), and an expert for the National Agency for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (AERES, France), the European Science Foundation and the AXA Research Fund
